Surrendering to God

What does, “surrendering to God,” mean?

Here’s an example, let’s say that someone has a gun pointed at me. What do I do?

I might put my hands up in surrender saying, “I’m not going to fight. What do you want me to do?”

It’s a posture and attitude that shows I’m submitting and ready to follow their commands. That’s the same way we can surrender to God.

Except He isn’t threatening us, rather, He’s inviting us with open arms to love and follow Him.

Surrendering to God is accepting His invitation to walk on the lighted path with Him as we grow in love, joy, patience, kindness – all the good stuff that He offers (see Galatians 5:22-25 and 1 Corinthians 13).

I hope this video is helpful and that you’ll accept God’s invitation to surrender to Him daily and enjoy His unlimited love, joy and peace!
